A birthday Party in the mix

Do you ever blame your parents for stuff that you felt were lacking in your childhood? Well I'm guilty of it sadly enough. Now don't jump the gun it's nothing major! My parents lacked at giving us kids birthday party's. To them it wasn't a necessity and who could blame them. I mean what crazy person would spend hundreds of dollars on a party. Now this is where I come in because yup that's right I'm CRAZY. Yesterday my youngest son Peyton turn two. When a birthday comes in this house bring on the party!!! I have his birthday planned for May 2, 2010. I'm planning on doing cupcakes vs. cake to cut the cost. You have to love Sam's Club! Now here is the problem, the theme is Toy Story and i cant find anything. No one has Toy Story cake decorations. I have searched all over the Internet and still I've come out short handed. Then I've come across www.shopbakersnook.com and I've got a light bulb in my head. I found some cute treat wraps and these wraps go around cupcakes. It's a cute way to spice up your cupcakes, right? I know it's not Toy Story themed but oh well. OK, here problem number two. I'm planning on getting a bouncy house and I cannot find a Toy Story themed one. So now I'm searching for one that will work for the party. I'm only spending no more than a hundred for that so my options are limited. Also on my list to get are a cotton candy machine, tables, chairs, and of course food. I'm hoping to find everything for pretty cheap and of course borrowing from friends might be an option. I'm sure your agreeing with the fact that I'm crazy now! I just love to create memories for my children and a birthday comes once a year. Of course the party is their present so no toys or clothes for them. They don't really need anymore than what they have as it is. I work had to save for these things...many hours of work goes toward their party. The boys don't get much from us to being with so why not spoil them one day out of the year. I'll keep you updated on what I find and feel free to give me any ideas!!

I love it already! Ha and you are so not crazy! I LOVE doing parties for Elizabeth! Also, try doing a cowboy bounce house. Surely they have those right? Wish we lived close, sounds like a fun party already!
